ICAPT-8 conference

After turbulent COVID times, we cordially invite you to the 8th International Conference on Advanced Plasma Technologies (ICAPT-8), organized by the Slovenian Society for Vacuum Technique.
This year the meeting will be held in Hotel Špik in Gozd Martuljek from May 16th–18th, 2023, and is joined together with the annual Workshop of the EU COST Action “CA19110 Plasma applications for smart and sustainable agriculture” that will be held at the same location from May 14th–16th.
The meeting will represent an excellent forum for the presentation and discussion of new achievements in the following topics: Basic aspects of plasma technologies, Characterization and modeling, Plasma-surface interactions, Plasma technologies in traditional industries, Plasma technologies in biology, medicine, and stomatology, Plasma technologies in agriculture, Powerful discharges for rapid surface modifications, Environmental aspects of plasma technologies. All talks will be given only by invited speakers. Other participants can participate by poster presentation.


Participants must submit an abstract via email to info@dvts.si. Abstracts must be written in English. The length of an abstract should be 300 words. Please do not insert any images.
The invited speakers will be renowned scientists selected by the International Program Committee.


All participants are required to register.

Conference fee and payment conditions:

  • Exhibitors: 600 EUR
  • Regular 3-day registration fee: 510 EUR (single room) or 460 EUR (double room)
  • Accompanying person fee 460 EUR

The ICAPT-8 conference fee covers the following:

  • accommodation in the conference hotel (2 nights)
  • attendance to scientific sessions for one person (17th and 18th)
  • electronic abstract booklet, conference program, and information materials
  • refreshments during breaks
  • transport from/to Brnik international airport upon request (add 10 EUR for one-way and 20 EUR for two-way option)
  • social events during networking on the 16th and 17th

If the participant is also attending the 3rd Workshop on Plasma Applications for Smart and Sustainable Agriculture, the attendance fee and payment conditions are:

  • ICAPT + COST: invited, regular and student, 790 EUR (single room) or 690 EUR (double room);
