About Portorož

Portorož is a coastal town at the heart of Europe. Here you can enjoy in sea, palm trees, Mediterranean aromas, wind... During winter months you can relax in spa and wellness centres and during summer you can go to well-maintained beach and swim in warm Mediterranean sea. Also, there are several bars on the beach that offer a lively atmosphere year round.

Families with small children and couples looking for romantic pampering and relaxation will both feel comfortable in Portorož.
Sport enthusiasts can challenge themselves on the tennis courts, sport tracks, in sport halls, pools and in the sea.

Portorož is also closely connected to nearby Piran, a small medieval town whose fame and fortune come from one of the largest saltpans in this part of the world. These saltpans (Sečoveljske soline) are now tourist attraction. Piran is also town of music. Famous musician, composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini was born and raised there. His statue now decorates main square in Piran.

Near Porotorož is also Strunjan cliff famous for its beautiful nature.
